Okay, I thought for this post I would share the couple of movies that I want to see that come out on Christmas Day.

1. Marley & Me
I am looking forward to this movie because I am a dog person. I have not read the book even though I have heard it is excellent. Here is the trailer.

2. Valkryie
I have not been a fan of Tom Cruise since his crazy outburst on Oprah but this movie looks good. Here is the trailer.

Top Ten Best Musical Moments in Movies

Okay, as per keeping with the new format with this blog, my first discussion is about movie music moments. When I say movie music moments, I don't mean movie musicals per se, although there are a couple of musicals that make the list. Let's proceed shall we.

10. "I Say a Little Prayer for You" from My Best Friend's Wedding

This is a classic moment in this movie because it starts with Rupert Everett's character telling a story on how he met Jules, and it turns into a big group sing.

9. "Elephant Love Medley" from Moulin Rouge

Baz Luhrman, director of Moulin Rouge, was a genuis for combining all these love songs into one song. Plus, it builds on the chemistry of Satine (Nicole Kidman) and Christian (Ewan Mcgregor).

8. "Stayin' Alive" from Saturday Night Fever

When you mention John Travolta, this one of the most common movie scenes that comes to mind. This scene is iconic.
7. "God is Trying to Tell Something" from The Color Purple

One of the most memorable moments in this movie. The woman walking to the church and singing is Margaret Avery, she plays singer Shug Avery in the movie. Originally, Steven Speilberg wanted Tina Turner to play Shug but Tina turned him down.

6. "Maniac" from Flashdance

This movie moment was referenced in the episode "The King is Dead" of the show Family Guy.

5. "Pretty Woman" from Pretty Woman

No movie music moment list is complete without the famous montage from Pretty Woman.

4. " Footloose" from Footloose

Kevin Bacon dancing. Need I say more!!

3. "As Time Goes By" from Casablanca

2. "You're the One That I Want" from Grease

1. "I've Had The Time of My Life" from Dirty Dancing

Update 12/10/08
I cannot believe forgot to mention one of the best movie musical moments

"Bohemian Rhapsody" from Wanye's World

who could forget this classic?

Retooling 365 Flix

Well, I have thought long and hard about this (that's what she said), and figured it was time to resurrect and retool the blog for movie discussion. So let the discussion begin.
